American Mobile Dermatology was first established in 2003 by Dr James DeVoursney, M.D. with our aging community in mind, especially those residents in facilities and private homes who are unable to travel to an office. We have a knowledgeable and caring medical team who have combined experience in dermatology of over 50 years.
James J. DeVoursney M.D. has served the South Florida community for over 16 years and has gained a mass amount of loyal patient followers. He began his medical career as an RN and worked his way up to becoming a prominent Board Certified Dermatologist. He completed his M.D. at the University of Miami School of Medicine and obtained his residency in the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and graduated as Chief Resident. He is the proud recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Achievement in St. George’s University School of Medicine, Chief Resident Award from the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and the George Ioannides Award in Recognition of Excellence in Resident Dermatology Teaching.
Shelby Mathis Snyder, PA-C, received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She also attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies where she received a degree in Chemistry. Shelby has been working in dermatology in the South Florida area since 2001 and joined American Mobile Dermatology in 2003. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Shelby currently practices in Broward County, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.
Sandra Allen, APRN, has over 20 years of experience in cosmetic and general dermatology. She graduated with honors with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University. She is an active member in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has distinguished herself as a leader and an educator in her field. Sandra has been with American Mobile Dermatology since 2004 and currently practices in the Treasure Coast area.
Jessica Anastasio, PA-C, is a graduate of Mercy College. She excelled in the Physician Assistant Program, receiving a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. After a career in dermatology as a medical assistant and office manager, Jessica desired a more hands on approach and joined American Mobile Dermatology as a Physician Assistant in 2007. She was practicing in Palm Beach County until recently moving to the Orlando area and currently services Orlando, the Villages, Vero Beach and Melbourne.
Sharon Vitale, APRN, has diverse expertise in both dermatology and advanced wound care. She graduated with honors from Stony Brook University in NY, where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing degree. Sharon worked with a wound care specialist for many years in the South Florida area and joined American Mobile Dermatology in 2016. Sharon currently practices in West Palm, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Wellington.
Alisa Kosek, APRN, received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she also obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Prior to joining American Mobile Dermatology, she worked in the South Florida area in both cardiology and medical-surgical nursing, where she became highly trained in expert wound care. She was also a clinical nursing professor and taught medical-surgical nursing at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Alisa currently practices in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach.
American Mobile Dermatology offers home-bound residents, residents of Assisted and Independent Living Facilities and Skilled Nursing Facilities the opportunity to receive expert dermatology care without leaving the comfort of their home.
